Operation and Test Flights

The most dramatic claims about the OTC-X1 came from Ralph Ring, who asserted that he had participated in test flights of a smaller prototype. According to Ring, these tests demonstrated the craft’s ability to achieve instantaneous travel, covering a distance of 10 miles “in the time it takes to press a button.”

Ring’s accounts of these flights describe a process more akin to teleportation than conventional movement, suggesting that the OTC-X1 could manipulate space-time itself. He also claimed that operating the craft required a state of heightened consciousness, with the pilots mentally interfacing with the vehicle’s systems. Respecting the craft as a living being was paramount, said Ring.

However, independent verification of these extraordinary claims never occurred. A public demonstration of the OTC-X1, scheduled for April 19, 1959, never materialized, with Carr citing illness as the reason for the cancellation.

The Utron Electrical Accumulator: Modified Tesla Technology

According to reports, the OTC-X1’s Utron technology radicalized Tesla’s bladeless turbine design. Where Tesla’s original turbine used smooth discs to create efficient rotary motion, Carr claimed to have modified this principle to harness what he called “the energy of space.”

This modified turbine was allegedly capable of generating immense amounts of power while remaining relatively small and lightweight. Carr suggested that the unique properties of his Utron design allowed it to tap into fundamental cosmic energies, providing virtually limitless propulsion for the OTC-X1.

Squared Circle Design

One of the most intriguing aspects of the Utron technology was its “squared circle” design. When viewed from above, the Utron appeared circular, but from the side, it presented a square profile. This geometric configuration was not merely aesthetic; Carr insisted it was crucial to the device’s function.

The concept of the squared circle has deep roots in sacred geometry and esoteric traditions, often symbolizing the union of the earthly and the divine. This design, according to the OTC-X1, was said to facilitate the accumulation and channeling of cosmic energies.

Shape Power

Carr’s claims about the Utron and the OTC-X1 were central to the concept of “shape power”—the idea that certain geometric forms could influence energy and matter in profound ways. This notion extends beyond conventional physics, touching on ideas more commonly associated with sacred geometry and the esoteric sciences.

Carr asserted that the specific shapes and proportions used in the OTC-X1’s design allowed it to resonate with fundamental cosmic frequencies, enabling it to achieve anti-gravity effects and manipulate space-time. His use of the squared circle design may be significant in relation to physicist Harold Aspden’s work, as Aspden believed that the squared circle formed the basis of the quantum spacetime medium. As such, was the Utron attracting and modulating quantum/aetheric energy from the quantum vacuum of space? 

While these claims remain unsubstantiated by mainstream science, they continue to intrigue those interested in alternative energy concepts and unconventional propulsion theories.

Anti-Gravity Propulsion

The holy grail of advanced propulsion, anti-gravity technology, remains a subject of fascination and speculation. Carr claimed that the OTC-X1 had achieved this elusive goal through its unique combination of counter-rotating electromagnetic fields and shape-based energy accumulation.

In theory, anti-gravity propulsion would allow a craft to negate or manipulate gravitational forces, enabling effortless lift and movement without the need for conventional thrust. While mainstream physics has yet to demonstrate a practical anti-gravity device, research into exotic propulsion concepts continues in some scientific circles.
